    • Scanned vehicle for related faults and found: 1.1. P164D00 Reduced oil pressure switch-Malfunction-Passive/Sporadic 1.2. P011800 Engine Coolant Temperature Sensor 1-Circuit High-Passive/Sporadic 1.3. P034100 Camshaft Pos.Sensor Circ.-Range/Performance-Passive/Sporadic 1.4. P001600 Crankshaft Position-Camshaft Position-Correlation Bank 1 Sensor A-Active/static We tested and determined the camshafts have jumped timing -25deg. Will need to remove, inspect, replace timing chains and related components. Engine camshaft bridge also leaking engine oil.
    • Remove engine covers, front end of vehicle and necessary engine components to access, remove and replace engine timing chains, guides, and tensioners. Re assemble vehicle, clean affected areas, and test for leaks and proper operation.

    • Scanned all vehicle systems for faults and found a code stored in the engine module. p0391 Cam position sensor B bank 2 range performance. We checked the values of the cam positions and found the affected cam is on a default value of 0 degrees. We erased the code and it came back immediately. We disconnected the tank to access bank 2 exhaust cam sensor and used an oscilloscope to test its function and found no square wave signal. We compared it to bank 2 intake cam sensor and found a proper signal. We also noticed that bank 2 intake cam sensor looks new. We suspect someone installed a new sensor on the wrong cam. We moved the new sensor to bank 2 exhaust, found an old sensor in the console and installed it into bank 2 intake cam and found the issue is resolved. Erased all codes and checked cam position values – OK.
    • Low quality blade frame is bent. Replace with new.
    • We had one technician operate the brake pedal while the second pinched flexible brake hoses. We identified that the issue resided in the right front caliper. We removed the wheel and visually inspected the caliper and found that the spring was installed incorrectly and was preventing the caliper from slide compensating. We corrected the issue and reinstalled the wheel and found the brake pedal is operating normally.

    • Scanned all vehicle systems for faults and found codes stored in the engine module. These codes indicate a misfire on cylinder 1. We viewed the freeze frame data and they happened on a warm engine while driving at 30% load 3 minutes after engine start. This code stored 1 time. Mode 6 data shows 33 misfires stored. Client noted rough cold starts. We drove the vehicle and performed an ignition stress test without issue. We checked the spark plugs – OK. We moved the ignition coil from cylinder 1 to cylinder 2 and erased the codes. We suspect the issue is with the fuel injector on cylinder 1 but we are unable to duplicate the concern and make an accurate diagnosis. >>Release vehicle and have client return when the engine light comes back on and rescan for codes. If the code reset on cylinder 1 then we will need to replace the fuel injector and clean the carbon from the intake tract.

    • Customer concerns: 1. Passenger side mirror does not dip when shifting in to reverse. >>We tested and found the mirror switch not set correctly. Was in center and should be to the right to actuate mirror. OK at this time 2. Passenger side mirror making a grinding noise when it extends/swings out >>We tested and found the noise negligible. We would not have noticed it if it was not indicated. 3. Driver's side back door window randomly lowers and won't raise until shut off the car and back on. Sometimes can trigger a similar issue when exiting the car after turning it off. The window normally lowers when the door is open, but does not always raise/close. >>We found we were unable to duplicate this concern at this time. We scanned for related faults and found none. Possible: latch, door module, wiring, window motor, CAN BUS, comfort module 4. Brake lights (center) some LEDs are dead >>Will need to replace assembly. 5. Passenger side rear running light is intermittent. >>Replaced bulb-OK at this time. 6. Center screen issues. Sometimes will not extend, won't show backup camera, won't connect to Bluetooth, won't show navigation, and sometimes it shuts off and retracts while driving. >>Will need dealer service to diagnose/repair. Several engine oil leaks that may requires dealer service. Upper timing covers are leaking, and the upper oil pan gasket may be starting to be leak.
    • Remove and replace third brake light assembly with new. Re assemble vehicle and test for proper operation.

    • We tested and confirmed no cool air with AC active. We did not smell any chemical smell, though there are several air fresheners in the vehicle. We performed an AC service and found the refrigerant was low. We refilled the system to spec and tested for refrigerant leaks. Did not find any under hood or interior vents. No leaks found at this time. No concerning smell noted.
    • Service air conditioner. Check condition of all belts and lines. Evacuate and recharge with R-134 refrigerant. Test system performance.
    • Test drove vehicle and only heard some creaking ball joints. No ticking noise that we could identify. Unable to duplicate concern.

    • Scanned the ECM for faults and found 3 faults stored. P1602 power supply terminal 30 too low. Likely due to low battery voltage. P3089 Fuel pump electronics signal wire electrical error. Possible failing fuel pump or fuel pump control unit. This fault occurred one time. Monitor. P2181 Malfunction in cooling system. Drove the vehicle and monitored the engine coolant temperature and found that it only increased to 65 degrees C while air is flowing through the radiator. Can to a stop and increased the engine speed and found the engine temperature rose to 95 degrees C and the radiator fans turned on. This indicates that the thermostat is opening too soon. Replace the thermostat.
    • replace water outlet at rear of cylinder head, replace associated heater hose
    • replace r/f axle shaft assembly
    • replace timing belt and all tensioners/rollers replace drive belt replace water pump add fresh coolant
    • replace thermostat
