- Scanned all vehicle systems for faults and found codes stored in the engine module. These codes indicate a misfire on cylinder 1. We viewed the freeze frame data and they happened on a warm engine while driving at 30% load 3 minutes after engine start. This code stored 1 time. Mode 6 data shows 33 misfires stored. Client noted rough cold starts. We drove the vehicle and performed an ignition stress test without issue. We checked the spark plugs – OK. We moved the ignition coil from cylinder 1 to cylinder 2 and erased the codes. We suspect the issue is with the fuel injector on cylinder 1 but we are unable to duplicate the concern and make an accurate diagnosis. >>Release vehicle and have client return when the engine light comes back on and rescan for codes. If the code reset on cylinder 1 then we will need to replace the fuel injector and clean the carbon from the intake tract.
