- Change engine oil and oil filter. Perform basic safety inspection. Lubricate and check chassis. Check air filter and cabin filter. Check all fluid levels and tire pressures. Road test vehicle. Check for additional needed services and clear service reminder as needed.
- We scanned all systems for faults and found a code stored in the engine module: P0456 Evaporative emissions system, very small leak. There is a technical bulletin regarding this fault that directs us to replace the natural vacuum leak detection switch and the filter. Since there is a concern of a fuel smell while filling the tank, we may want to perform a manual evaporative system leak test to confirm there is/isn't a leak. We are not able to run a guided test of the evap system as this system does not utilize a leak detection pump. >>Recommend remove the right rear wheel liner, plug line at the filter, access the purge solenoid and test system for leaks with a smoke tester.
- Performed further testing of the NVLD faults and found the fuel tank leaking from the roll over valve >>Fuel tank should be replaced to resolve.
- Lower rear subframe and suspension to access, remove, and replace diagnosed faulty/leaking fuel tank with new. Re assemble vehicle, clear related faults, and test for proper operation.
