- We scanned the transmission and found many fault codes stored for clutch monitoring and parking gear engagement. The freeze frame showed all of these codes were stored one time at the same mileage so we suspect these codes were induced by previous repair work and were not erased as they should have been. We viewed and saved the adaptation values. We drove the vehicle and monitored values with the scan tool and found the hard downshift is happening from 3 to 2 consistently. We also noticed a slightly longer shift with a tiny flare from 3 to 4 and a decent little bump shift from 6 to 7. We studied the operations manual to see if there was anything in common and we found that there was not any one single clutch or brake that could have an issue that would account for any of these 3 symptoms. We suspect that there could be a corruption issue with the adaptation values. >>We a reset the adaptations and performed an adaptive test drive and found that all 3 symptoms have stopped. >>Monitor. May need software update or there could be any number of other possibilities.
